Dear Friends and Family,

An original goal of 500$ has been met, and passed!  Thanks to all of you, the summer has become much more comfortable, as without all the hair I normally have, I am no longer able to hold my heat as well ;)

Because the ride has come closer, I have raised the fundraising goal to 750$.  I hope that we can reach this and pass it the same way the original goal was met (and passed).

There will be a surprise... thing... at 750$.  I have not decided what.  It could be anything from a video starring the wonderful me, to another tourture method brought to you by the lovely friends that o so enjoy my pain....

In anycase, I hope that you can help out the Vermont Foodbank this summer either by donating online, or by donating in person.  All donations make it to the Vermont Foodbank.  Donations not done online will be mailed in by me and the website updated with your donation.

And if you have already donated, please, pass this along to anyone who may be interested.  It's as easy as hitting the forward button on you email, and sending it out to all your contacts.

We have reached a total of 485$, which means 15$ until I will be waxing the forest of hair from my legs.  I would also like to add a new goal.  At the 600$ mark, a video of said waxing will be posted on youtube for your enjoyment :)  thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me through this... shall we say "adventure".

Again, once the 600$ mark is reached, everyone will be provided with the link to the video...

Dear Friends and Family,

    This August 15th, I am to participate the 2009 Point to Point 110-mile road race.  The ride is a collaborative effort by the Vermont Foodbank, the Harpoon Brewery, and The Point Radio Network to raise awareness and funds for the Vermont Foodbank and its efforts to end hunger in Vermont.  Last year the Harpoon Point to Point raised more than $47,000 for the Vermont Foodbank. This enabled the Foodbank to provide more than 141,000 pounds of food, or 108,461 meals to hungry Vermonters.

    I write to you with hopes that you would be willing to sponsor me in this ride.  Any amount you are able to contribute to this event will be more than helpful.  In return for your contribution, a crazy thing will be done to my hair.  Here is how the craziness will work.  Once a total of a certain amount is reached, a new and exciting (and potentially crazy) thing will be done to my hair.  The amounts are as follows:

$50 - Straightened

$100 - Bleached

$150 - Dyed a new color

$300 - Mohawk

$400 - Shaved

$500 - Shaved Legs

    So please, if not donating to help those in need of food, donate for the sheer amusement of seeing me do crazy things to my hair.
