Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
It's been 9 years since I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) one snowy night in college. Without going into all the details, the prognosis on the initial arrival was not good, but I was fortunate to be sent to the UConn Hospital under the care of Dr. Hillary Onyiuke. After a couple brain surgeries and other procedures I was stabilized and eventually was able to wake from the coma I was in. Then I was on the road to recovery and thanks to all the amazing doctors and therapists I had, I was able to walk, talk and (mostly) function again!
Over time I was very fortunate and was able to recover a good deal of what I lost from both a personal and mental standpoint. I would not have been able to do any of that without the amazing support that I had from especially my family and friends as well as all the doctors that cared for me. I will forever be in debt to my Mom, Dad, Jodie, Justin and Joelle for always sticking with me through the high and low points. It’s amazing the courage a support system like I had can give you to push forward every day!
Each year we help support the Connecticut Brain Injury Alliance to help raise money and awareness for others who go through this difficult time in their lives. The goal is to hope that others will be able to have the same support that I was lucky enough to have, so that they can make a great recovery too!

Thanks for the support and look forward to seeing everyone on the walk!
