Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for taking a few minutes out of your busy day to read my Y Story! 

After spending the first 11 years of my adult life as a physical eduction teacher, I took a job with the YMCA of Greater Providence and suddenly felt like this was the type of work I was put on this earth for. My work with children and families at the YMCA has been so rewarding and I have met some incredible people who would not have been members of the YMCA (and I would not have met) if it were not for the Financial Assistance program that supported their needs.

Every family deserves to feel the love and support or a Y family which is why I feel so passionate about raising money to assist those that could not otherwise afford the services the Y provides.

Last year the Kent County YMCA gave away over $240,000 in assistance to children, families and seniors in our service area and as we all know, the need continues to grow.  Please consider a gift of any amount to this incredible organization.

The picture you see is of my family. I happened to meet Rocque's dad at the YMCA and he and his wife generously donated what we needed to procriate. The Y is an amazing place!
