Why Sierra Leone?

Access to clean water is a fundamental right of every human being on Earth.  Yet, in Sierra Leone only 26% of African people are able to obtain safe drinking water and 70% of people live below poverty level. This lack of clean water contributes to the overall poor health experienced by Africans in this diamond-rich country. Tens of thousands to die yearly from treatable water borne diseases and the average life expectancy is only 39 years. (Ref – AAPDEP website)

 

I will join with Ruth and Robert Searches in Sierra Leone they work with Living Waters International.  They, through providing daily essentials like water and teaching on 'Clean sanitization'  are able to begin sharing the gospel with the Sierra Leonean nationals - a predominately Muslim nation.
