Give water this Christmas!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to raise funds to help restore and refurbish wells in Sierra Leone.
Alabaster Box is also partner with the ministry Global Benefit who is working directly with Living Water International in the African Village, Seirra Leone (where the movie Blood Diamond was set) to rehabilitate and refurbish wells that have been destroyed by recent civil wars. I recently read an email about a village in Seirra Leone that has only two wells for 20 000 people and one appeared to not be working. The need is great. LWI hopes to see 100 well refurbished this year. 25,000 deaths occur every day from unsafe water and the lack of basic sanitation - 90% are children under five years old.
This Holiday Season my biggest desire is to see everyone challenged that individuals can make a difference. Individuals can put dreams to help those in need into action and see hope given and lives saved. As Christians, Isaiah 58 puts a strong call to each and every one of us to ‘Do something’.
Ultimately, we want to leave the challenge that we have a responsibility to look out for those in need. Seirra Leone is a country Alabaster Box and I feel called to support at this time. It’s only a start to put a buck in an offering plate, we are all responsible for asking the question, ‘is there more we can do?’ in our own community and in our world.
$2500 will refurbish one well in Seirra Leone! We can do it!
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Love you friends!!!
