I am supporting the Hubbard House Setting the Pace for Peace Walk on Saturday, April 9. I am excited about the opportunity to raise awareness about domestic violence in our community and to raise much needed dollars to support the life saving programs Hubbard House offers to victims of domestic violence and their children. I hope that you will support this important awareness event!

There has been a 10% increase in domestic violence police reports in Jacksonville even though other violent crimes are down by 11%. Of those cases nearly half of them list children as witnesses to the violence. Statistics show that, without intervention, children who live with violence are more likely to perpetuate violence as adults. Hubbard House works actively to end the cycle of abuse. All Hubbard House program offerings, whether aimed at prevention or intervention, contribute toward the agency's mission: Every Relationship Violence-Free.
