Dear Friends,
As some of you know, I've been working for the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut for nearly two years. In that time, I've met many individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by brain injury. It's a humbling, but inspiring experience.
The thing that has surprised me most about brain injuries is how many people experience them each year -- six times more than spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS and breast cancer combined.
BIAC is the only organization in Connecticut dedicated to brain injury prevention and recovery, and like, many non-profits, we're facing financial challenges.
If you can, please support me in the Walk for Thought. Every little bit helps,
Joy
