Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Caroline is my 4 1/2 Year old granddaughter - only girl in clan of 6; therefore, rightly nicknamed Princess Caroline (and called PeeCey by me).
She has struggled with delays since her premature birth in 2006. Caroline has been in intensive weekly therapy since she was 16 months old. Around 3 1/2 caroline started to zone out and interact less and less with those around her. After many tests and trips to specialists, On March 14th, 2011 the mystery was solved ..... Caroline was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Rett Girls are called "Silent Angels", as most do not have the ability to speak. For more information visit www.rettsyndrome.org.
Caroline is an A-typical Angel, she does walk (and even runs), she has use of her hands and even has some ability to speak (although limited). We are VERY hopeful she can keep these skills and even gain some more. She is Blessed with a wonderful family and CREW....an AMAZING TEACHER, WONDERFUL therapists, and the support of so many friends and family! There are many advancements and studies being conducted, and these give us hope for a beautiful future for our SWEET girl, but none of it can happen without funding!
The Strollathon is the signature fundraiser for Rett Syndrome Research. How can you help? You can join our team and help fundraise. We would love for you to join us in Macon, Georgia on October 8th, but you can be a team member without attending. Simply commit to help fundraise. You can also help by donating on this website. Finally, you can help by passing this website on to family and friends to ask them to help support Sweet Caroline's Crew!
Caroline is our "Sweet Angel" but this is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to be "Caroline's Hope". Help raise money for Rett Syndrome Reserach.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
