Hi Everyone!

I think you all know how much I love yoga.  Karma Krew was created by two wonderful yoga teachers (one that teaches me here in Florida, Scott Feinberg, who is truly an inspiring teacher) to bring yoga into homes for children who do not have parents or where they have been removed from their homes due to child abuse.  The picture shows 7 of the 8 children who attended this small school in a town not on the map in Costa Rica that a group from Karma Krew, including me went to paint.  We brought them school supplies and practiced yoga with them even though there were only a few of us that could speak Spanish. Yoga has no boundaries. 

The first Karma Krew fundraising took place last December.  I volunteered that day on the beach and saw some amazing sand sculptures and met tons of wonderful people on the beach.  It really was a magical day that I'll always remember (there was even a rainbow at 11 am).  The air was charged with people coming together for a cause.   I'd like to be a bigger part of the picture this year in fundraising and hope that all my friends everywhere will be able to pledge just a few dollars if that's all you have in today's economy towards this wonderful cause.   So, please join me in keeping this effort alive, as it has already grown to many other states in the US and is teaching our children skills they can use that we as yogis and yoginis have learned to keep us grounded, calm and just good people....walk into a yoga class and you will feel it!
