Thank you very much for participating  in the Miles for Melanoma 5K, presented by Dermatology Consultants.  As you already know, major strides are being made in melanoma research.  With your support, the MRF can fund research that will unlock the mysteries of this devastating disease, and lead to better treatment options, and eventually, a cure. Melanoma is the deadliest skin cancer, yet it receives less research funding. The incidence of melanoma is increasing faster than any other cancer, and an American’s lifetime risk of developing melanoma is one in 60. 

By sponsoring our event, you can help us give more research grant money to doctors who are helping us find new and better treatments. In 2011 the FDA approved two new melanoma drugs – it’s been 13 years since we have seen a new treatment on the market. Those drugs came to be based partially on research done by MRF grantees. We can’t make that kind of progress without your support.

We are very excited to be hosting our first annual event here in St. Paul, MN. Thank you very much for all the efforts of the sponsors and volunteers.  We look forward to next year's 2nd Annual Miles for Melanoma 5K run/walk.
