This will be my fourth Sprint Triathlon that I am doing to raise money for Cherish Our Children International, only something is different this year.  I have decided to compete to place.

 

One of the reasons I took on participating the first year I did, was to do something I didn’t think I could do, while making a difference for kids.  Just crossing the finish line was a huge deal for me.  I now know I can do that. 

 

What I have found for myself while doing these events is that they connect me to the kids Cherish Our Children works with.  It gives me some idea of what it is like to be challenged.  Albeit, their challenges are not self-induced.  They don’t have a choice to not have parents, or to be HIV positive or to not have a school to go to.  

 

COCI is now in 8 countries – producing miraculous results with kids.  , , , , the , , and as of this month - and Darfur .  

 

$1 goes a VERY long way and really does have a positive impact on their lives.  

 

I ask 2 things.  One is that you go to the COCI website and see the kids we serve, what we are up to, and how you might participate.  www.cherishourchildren.org.  

 

The other is that you consider investing in COCI in honor of my Sprint Triathlon.
