Little Huey was severely beaten and is now in desperate need of medical care!

Huey is only 4 lbs. but that didn't stop a grown man from throwing him down, kicking him in the head and peeing on him. Huey's owner, Brian, came home to find his little dog on the ground, injured at the hands of his roommate. Brian rushed Huey to the emergency vet where he was stabilized. Huey suffered head trauma from his attack and was blinded in one eye.

The police were called and a report was filed against Huey's attacker but charges have not been filed yet... We are going to address this as well but need to focus on Huey's health first because it's so urgent.

Besides the emotional toll the attack took on Huey, there are many signs in his behavior that indicate he is dealing with a brain injury and possibly in pain. But after paying Huey's emergency bill, Brian had no money left for further vet care for Huey. Huey desperately needs to see a neurologist and get an MRI to see the extent of damage to his brain. Huey's owner contacted A Dog's Life Rescue for help. ADLR immediately got Huey in to see our Vet who confirmed Huey needs to see a neurologist so we are now working hard to raise money for Huey's MRI and any treatment needed afterward.

The consultation with the Neurologist is: $100. The MRI will be anywhere from $1400-$1600.  These prices don't include bloodwork or any other test needed, or future medical care/treatment.

He is so loved....It has been so horrible to see how unkind humans will be to an animal, even ones you thought were your friends and you could leave your pet with. Huey is the kind of dog who has always been proud, a super macho chihuahua. He goes along with us when possible and is one of us, he has the biggest personality in the world.
