Imagine what it would be like to be only 2 months old, full of energy and life, wanting a place to play and feel the sunshine on your face, and desperately wanting to be held and touched by humans; and instead, being confined in an enclosed airline crate, barely big enough for you to turn around, in a dark, quiet room, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; no toys to play with, no walks outside, no playing, no other dogs to interact with, no people to hold you. Imagine your only interaction with the outside world being one person coming into your room in the morning to clean your cage out, only to put you back inside that cage, walk out of the room, and close the door. This was RileyBlue's life. And this life has taken its toll on this innocent puppy that has endured solitude for 5 very long months.
Unfortunately, this life in confinement didn't leave RileyBlue completely unscathed. Because he has never had proper guidance or anything to call his own; not a food dish, not a blanket, not a toy, not a bed, RileyBlue is extremely possessive of his resources and becomes aggressive when he thinks you are going to take something away from him. And when you consider the emotional trauma this young dog was put through, it's no wonder he wants to cling to the only things he thinks are his. RileyBlue is desperately afraid of losing anything and anyone ever again.
Because of this now RileyBlue is poundbound and his life is in danger! Several of us have come together to try and save his life because we know that with training RileyBlue can have the chance he deserves at a loving home and great life. We need your help though to raise the funds to get Riley into the training he needs.
