Julie Craig's Fundraising Page
Thanks for visiting my page! I am running the Rock N Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon in December and have joined the Organization for Autism Research fundraising team. OAR does applied autism research, meaning that they fund and conduct studies that focus on concrete techniques, treatments and educational approaches that can help those on the autism spectrum to live fuller, more independent lives. With the number of children being diagnosed with autism on the rise, my own children included, it is becoming more important than ever that we do what we can to find ways to educate and empower children and adults on the spectrum and give those who love them the resources and skills necessary to help them on their way. You can learn more about the OAR mission by visiting www.researchautism.org. Please consider making a donation to support my fundraising goal for this run - I appreciate it more than you know!
There are a series of training events I'll be running prior to the big finale race in Las Vegas. The first is the Grand Slam 4 Miler on August 1st, 2009. I am asking visitors to this page to consider making a $4 donation before August 1st. If you are in the Louisville area, please come downtown for the race and cheer me on - I'll be wearing my spiffy racing shirt with the OAR logo!
