Thousands of families will go without heat this winter. Walk for Warmth dollars can keep them warm!

Heat for your home in the winter is one of life’s basic necessities that is often over looked. This winter, thousands of Out-Wayne County families will struggle to keep warm under blankets and coats as they can’t afford heat for their homes. 

 

Wayne Metro’s Walk for Warmth raises awareness and dollars to help the thousands of people in our area who will face heat related emergencies this year.

 

Wayne Metro's 15th Annual Walk for Warmth is on Saturday, February 26th, 2010 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Westland Mall in Westland, MI (a new location for 2011!).  

 

All money raised through the Walk for Warmth stays directly in Out-Wayne County communities and provides direct assistance to help our neighbors stay safe and warm through the winter months.

I have worked for Wayne Metro for about two years now.  This will be my third Walk for Warmth.  Walk for Warmth is the only fundraiser we do at Wayne Metro to raise money for services we provide.  Please contact me if you have any questions jdavis@waynemetro.org
