Thousands of families will go without heat this winter. Walk for Warmth dollars can keep them warm.
Heat for your home in the winter is one of life’s basic necessities that is often over looked. This winter, thousands of Out-Wayne County families will struggle to keep warm under blankets and coats as they can’t afford heat for their homes.
Wayne Metro’s Walk for Warmth raises awareness and dollars to help the thousands of people in our area who will face heat related emergencies this year. The 14th Annual Walk for Warmth is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Southland Mall in Taylor.
Money raised through the Walk for Warmth stays directly in Out-Wayne County communities and provides direct assistance to help our neighbors stay safe and warm through the winter months.
Out-Wayne County includes the 42 cities and townships of Wayne County that surround Detroit.
