Last year our team our team brought in close to $2,000 for Huntington's Disease (HD) research, support and education! More importantly, many people experienced warm hearts and appreciation for the time and compassion of all the attendees at the walk. This year the Foreman Fighters are coming back to show once again how supportive, caring, and determined we are to knock out HD!
For those who are unaware, Huntington's Disease is an inherited, progressively degenerative brain disorder that affects a person's ability to think, speak and walk. Symptoms include depression, impaired judgment, unsteady gait, involuntary movements, slurred speech, and difficulty swallowing.
Each child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the gene, and every person who inherits the gene will eventually develop the disease. As many of you are aware, Kim, Sebastian and Christian tested positive for this gene.
Let's double the size of our team from last year and spread the word about HD! Join us on October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. to walk around beautiful Capital Lake in Olympia. QCountry 102.9 will be there. We will also have a silent auction, refreshments and more fun activities and entertainment!
If you can't make it and want to contribute, please make a check payable to HDSA and mail the check to us at 16240 Ordway Dr. Se, Yelm, WA 98597 or contribute right here on our fundraising page. It's easy and totally secure.
Suggested registration fee is $25, but no donation is required. Your presence would mean a lot. T-shirt with a $25 donation.
Please forward this on to anyone you think might want to help. No donation is too small!
Thank you team! Your help means more to us than anything!
