First and foremost, THANK YOU to ALL of my wonderful friends and family who have already donated to my SUPER Plunge!  If this is your first time, Welcome to my "SUPER Plunge" fundraising page. I will be joining Some Unbelievable Plungers who will be taking on the ultimate challenge of the SUPER Plunge! Over a 24-hour period, we will leap tall (OK – maybe ankle-high) waves, dodge chunks of ice, and fight to stay awake and warm while taking 24 icy dips (once every hour!) in the frigid waters of Lake Michigan, February 22-23, 2013.  Yes, I'm plunging 24 times in 24 hours during the SUPER Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Illinois!

Call it crazy, like jumping in once is not enough!  I have been fundraising for Special Olympics Illinois through the Law Enforcement Torch Run since 1999. Since then, it has become a passion of mine.  Whether it is the icy waters of Lake Michigan during the Polar Plunge, the height of being on a rooftop at Dunkin Donuts, the traffic jams during the “Spare Change for Real Change” canning day, or the grueling distance of the Torch Run...I am proud to support the athletes of the Special Olympics Illinois. The Super Plunge is the Ultimate Challenge for me which pales in comparison to the challenges the athletes of the Special Olympics face on a daily basis. Please feel free to come out during the event and visit as I camp on the sandy shore of Northwestern University Beach in Evanston. Don't forget the HOT coffee! 

As a member of the "Chosen Frozen" group of SUPER Plungers, I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the more than 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 11,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.
