Some of you have had the honor of meeting my niece Lucy or have seen her smiling face in one of Tulsa's many publications. Honestly, I don't know what my family did before she came into our lives. She has brought us closer in so many ways, continually cracks us up and is is as ornery as her "Aunt Ju Ju". With every milestone, she continues to defy the odds and is proof that love and support can lead you to accomplish anything.

90% of the money raised for the Buddy Walk goes to support the local association and the remaining amount is given to the national association for research and awareness.  DSAT uses the money to fund new parent packets, educate the medical community about Down syndrome, distribute up-to-date literature to schools, libraries, doctors and hospitals as well as provide support, monthly activities and conference scholarships for families and self-advocates to attend conferences and workshops.
