We are proud to announce that on April 19th, 2010 we will be running in the Boston Marathon for Team Mass Eye and Ear. Our created team, “Will Run 4 Chocolate” includes team members: Julie Luistro, Robyn Rodden and Lindsey Courchesne. Running in the Boston Marathon while raising money for Mass Eye and Ear research will mark a great achievement for all of us.

 A personal note from Julie Luistro:

Dear Family and Friends,                                            

I will be running hundreds of miles over the next five months to prepare for the Boston Marathon in April.  To run a marathon is a life changing experience and for me this means reaching a personal goal.  The sense of accomplishment I will feel as I cross the finish line is something that I need to experience in my life; however, I am not doing this solely for myself.  I am proud to be raising money for Mass Eye and Ear for The Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Fund in honor of my daughters and their surgeon, Dr. Cunningham who provded them with such great care.  My goal is to raise 5,000 for this worthy cause.  I'm asking for your support.  I thank you in advance for your generosity!

Friends & Family,

I am beyond excited that I've been granted the opportunity to run in the Boston Marathon while raising money to help those in need. It was only in the past two years that I thought maybe I would like to start working toward this goal and now it's happening!! I can't wait to add my marathon number to my collection and to finish the race with my team members :) Please support me in my goal to raise $5,000. Your help will further my determination!! Family & Friends,

I am so proud to announce that I will be running in the 2010 Boston Marathon!  Running a marathon will be a major accomplishment, and running for Team Eye and Ear will make it that much more meaningful. I have chosen to support a fund at Mass Eye and Ear called Caring Above and Beyond. This fund is used to fully or partially defray the cost of eyeglasses, hearing aids, transportation, lodging and meals for pediatric patients who would not be able to afford such items otherwise. So please, support me (God knows I'll need all the support I can get running 26.2 crazy miles!) and my goal of raising $5,000.
