I am very excited & honored to have the opportunity to run the Falmouth Road Race on August 12, 2012 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. The mission of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation is tackling cancer's impact by providing financial assistance for patients and their families as well as funding pediatric brain cancer research. 

At the young age of 12, I learned how truly devastating cancer could be with the loss of my Dad.  As an adult I continue to see the effects of cancer on children, adults and everyone in between. Back in early May Jen Andruzzi mentioned to me about running this race on behalf of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. I gave some thought to it, I will admit not too much...I received a facebook post less than a week  later from a dear childhood friend requesting prayers for her young nephew who was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma. This was my A-HA moment I knew I needed to run...and run I will!
