7th Annual Walk for Thought

Julie Peters' Story

Most of you know that I not only have the privilege of working for the Brain Injury Association of CT, but it is truly my passion.  Since walking through the doors of my first Personal Enrichment Retreat nine years ago, this cause and the people we serve have captured my heart.

While traumatic brain injuries occur six times more often than MS, spinal cord injury, HIV/AIDS and breast cancer combined, most people don't think about it until it happens to them or to a loved one.  And that is where BIAC comes in.  When there is no where else to turn, people can turn to BIAC.  And, because prevention is the only cure for a brain injury, our equally important outreach and education programs help prevent more brain injuries from occurring.

Please join me in helping assure that BIAC can be there to answer the calls, reach out to the community, and support the thousands of individuals who sustain brain injuries in Connecticut each year.

Thank you so much,

Julie
