Aloha friends and family!  Did you know that 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart defect? Well it's true and these special kids are around you everyday. Although they "look" normal many of these children have a life filled with doctor appointments, surgeries, and physical limitations. Many of them on lifelong medications and some of them even have pacemakers already. Living the life of a child with heart disease can be very hard on the entire family physically and emotionally.

Our families get support through Kardiac Kids and have been able to go to family camp at Camp Taylor Hawaii. At camp our kids are able to meet other kids with heart disease and share each others stories. Each family is also given a teen mentor that also has heart disease to hang out with and give encouragement. Most of the campers and mentors have developed a lifelong friendship that is priceless! Children at camp play games, tell stories by a campfire, do arts & crafts, sing songs, do skits and more!

Camp for these kids mean so much more than just fun & games but it's a chance for them to be "normal" for few days and not worry about their condition. Since CampTaylor is a non-profit, donations and support are needed to ensure that our kids can have a place to count on every year. Last year we were unable to have Camp Taylor Hawaii because we were not able to raise the money. This camp is so important to our kids because for so many of them there may not be a next time. Please help us make sure that every year is a special one. We are asking that not only you give just a little but please pass this on to everyone you know and ask them to help support this wonderful organization.
