Every year, the DCAC sponsors Maryland's Swim for Life, an open water swim competition benefiting AIDS, women's health and the Chester River Valley Association.

This Saturday, (in Chestertown, Maryland), I will be putting on my Speedo and jumping in the Chester River to swim 5 miles and I need your help!

The annual fundraising event, in its 17th year of existence, begins and ends at Rolph's Wharf on Chester River, which is one of the Chesapeake Bay's most beautiful tributaries. Swimmers have the choice of swimming 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 mile distances (again, I plan on going all the way and swimming 5 miles!).

All proceeds from the event benefit the Chester River Association, Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care, Inc., Quality of Life Retreats, Chester Valley Ministers Assoc., and Heart to Hand Inc.
