Thank you for visiting my Police Unity Tour fundraising page!
This is the first year that Medford Police Officers are riding in the Police Unity Tour and I am proud to be a rider. Starting on May 9th, we will ride road bicycles 320 miles from north Jersey to the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. for National Police Week. Upon our arrival, we will meet with families of fallen law enforcement officers and escort them to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.
I am riding in honor of Officer Omar J. Edwards, a New York City Police Officer who was killed in May 2009. Officer Edwards patrolled the same housing projects that I did during my tour with the NYPD. He was shot and killed while trying to apprehend a theft suspect while off-duty.
Donations raised from this ride go to the families of the fallen officers. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
