Thanks everyone for donating. This is a real easy, fast and secure site. This will be my 8th Lobster Dip in Maine and 9th overall (one was in Charleston, SC - it hardly counts because it was 60 degrees out!)

Last year I was overwhelmed by the amount of support you, my friends and family, gave! I was aiming for $1,000 but raised a total of $1,520!! Given the tough economy, I was humbled by your generosity towards such an incredible organization: the Special Olympics of Maine. Because of you, I was the top individual fundraiser for the entire event. That's an honor I'd like to repeat.

The dip itself was exactly what I expected - painful. And, as my annual tradition requires, I double-dipped with a few other brave souls (dip with the masses, exit, wait 60 seconds, re-enter with a few crazies, exit... hunch over in pain).

This year I am once again shooting for that four digit number ... $1,000. It's for a really great cause and all you need to do is sit back, drink some hot cocoa, and laugh at the thought of me jumping in 30 degree water on New Year's Day!
