Hello, my name is Justine Wood and I am in 5th grade at University Charter School (Aspire Public Schools). This year I will be working on a R.O.P.E.S. project for school. The Rite of Passage Experiences (R.O.P.E.S) project gives fifth graders opportunities to demonstrate academic achievements in a real-life setting (as noted in the R.O.P.E.S manual).
I have chosen Society for the Handicapped Children and Adults (http://www.societyforhandicapped.org) as my focus for my project. I have always shown an interest in people with disabilities and always look for ways that I can help them. I feel that this project might be a good way to do that.
My main focus for this project is going to be raising money for the Special Needs Ball happening on March 23, 2013, and that is where I will need your help. You see my goal is pretty big. I am going a grand total of $4, 000.00. This is what it cost to put the Special Needs Ball on.
As many of you know, I recently did a prom dress drive and brought in about 45 dresses. I am so excited to see these dresses on the participants as they enjoy a special night just for them. By the way, I will continue to take prom dress donations if you have them.
There are several ways that you can help me reach my goal in assisting with this event:
1) a money donation
2) donations for prom dresses/ evening dresses/ men's prom atire
3) if you own a business or know of someone who could donate to this event please call me at 209-603-5961
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Society for Handicapped Children & Adults' Special Needs Prom 2013!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
