To our fellow pet lovers:
Well it's summer and it's HOT....I hope all of you had a good year and your families are well..
It’s that time of year AGAIN to help our local rescue organization, Rescue Village.
As most of you know, over the last several years we've been supporting a wonderful state-of-the-art facility in Geauga County called Rescue Village. It’s been such a godsend for all the animals, and for all the animals still destined to pass through there. It is a huge, clean and beautiful foster home for homeless pets. It has spacious dog runs, a cage less cat community with access to a screened porch, fenced exercise area where you can play ball with a dog off-leash (our personal favorite), 13 acres of wooded dog-walking trails, quarantine areas for the sick and injured and a fantastic medical and surgical wing. It’s absolutely amazing, with a wonderful staff and a terrific slew of volunteers.
Every year, Rescue Village holds their annual dog-walk. They have expanded the idea and also turned it into a festival, complete with live bluegrass music, canine games and great food. It’s a blast! It’s also the shelter’s biggest fund-raiser, and they rely on the proceeds from that single day’s events to help out all year with food, medicine and veterinary care for all the sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals they take in.
This year’s festival will be on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at The Holden Arboretum, 9500 Sperry Road, Kirtland, OH. The hours are 9:00am–3:00pm. It’s a wonderful day for a wonderful cause in our local community.
So, this is where we need your help! Absolutely anything you can spare would be appreciated more than we can begin to tell you. It’s really a wonderful place, doing really wonderful work. We can promise you only one thing in return for your generosity: help us out with this, and we promise that we’ll save a few lives for you…or at the very least, we’ll enhance a few lives for you. Isn’t that a great idea?
