Purpose of Chituka Village Project
* Banda Bola Sports Foundation (BBSF) is dedicated to the health and education of children in Chituka Village and the surrounding villages.
* We offer after school sports and education mentoring programs to create an improved quality of life.
* There are four primary schools being served by the Chituka Village Project

Life in Chituka Village Nkhata-Bay, and Malawi, Africa
* Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world.
* Malawi and the people of Chituka Village, Nkhata-Bay are suffering from extreme poverty, famine, drought, and diseases cholera, malaria and AIDS.
* The average life expectancy is 36 years.
* The rural poor face few job opportunities, illiteracy, poor agricultural productivity and a lack of basic health services.
* The average person lives on less than $1.00 per day and in some cases less than $10.00 per year.
* Many young girls find themselves taking on the role of parent to their siblings who have become orphans at a young age.
Education in Chituka Village
* The four schools being served have a combined enrollment of 2,500 students: Malenga Mzoma, Bandawe, Macalpine, and Chifira Primary Schools.
* Schools lack basic supplies and resources necessary for education, such as pencils, pens, notebooks, and textbooks.
* Education is not mandated in Malawi, Africa.
* Many children face hardship at home that prevent them from attending school, allowing them little or no sense of childhood.
* Due to family and parental responsibilities, drop out rates for girls are significantly higher than drop out rates for boys.
