Karen Dionne's Stroke Fundraising Page
My journey began on March 2, 2007 at the age of 37. I considered myself to be young, healthy, active and getting married on July 7, 2007. I had my whole life ahead of me. I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which left me without feeling on my left side, vision problems, nerve damage, and the ability to walk.
With strong will and determination, I armed myself with the knowledge that the mind is very strong and the will power not to let the stroke beat me. I am fighting back and I am reclaiming myself.
I am 3 years into my journey.
The Reclaiming Ourselves Hope After Stroke 3K Walk on May 8, 2010 at Point Defiance, Owen Beach in Tacoma, WA benefitting National Stroke Association was a great success! Donations made on this page are still graciously accepted. All donations go to National Stroke Association.
