I'm raising support for the Campaign for Equal Justice to help support my organization, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, which promotes justice for low-income immigrants by pursuing and defending their legal status. Through its legal services, NWIRP helps uphold basic human rights, preserve family unity, prevent persecution, protect children and provide hope for justice.

The Campaign for Equal Justice is our collaborative fundraising drive that we conduct jointly with all of our state's civil legal aid providers each year to help bridge the "Justice Gap" in Washington state.

In the midst of an uncertain economy, hard times and budget cuts always hit our most vulnerable neighbors first. Our clients' need for free civil legal aid services will be increasingly critical in the days in months ahead.
