Killian joined our family as a foster dog in October 2010; he's the only one Shawnee has been happy with, and he needs cautious socialization, so we decided to adopt him.  He was not doing well in a shelter and challenged everyone who stopped to look at his pen; but once he made friends with someone, he was eager to please.  One of our volunteers saw the good in Killian, and he got another chance at life.

There are so many good-hearted German Shepherds out there, who just need to have the right person find them, that I'm happy to do this walk every year.  The money that Wendy, Shawnee and, now, Killian, have helped to raise is going for vet care, food, foster home supplies, boarding, surgeries and all the other expenses GSRNE covers in order to save these dogs.  You all know how much this means to me, and any amount contributed will be put to good use and is greatly appreciated!
