We are runners (joggers, walkers and occasional limpers) that have joined together to participate in this year's Shamrock Marathon races in Virginia Beach on March 20th and 21st in honor of Claire Williams, a Richmond area 5 year old with Mitochondrial Disease.  As friends, neighbors, or fans of Claire's, we are racing to show our support for Claire and her family and to help raise funds for the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF).  UMDF actively promotes and funds research for cures and treatments of mitochondrial disorders like Claire's.  Please consider sponsoring our team (or a specific runner on the team) by making a donation to UMDF.

We are having a little contest too!  Tell us which individual runner you are sponsoring in the Comment field below (maybe the one who sent you this link perhaps?) and the runner who gets the most sponsors will receive their Team Claire 2010 race jersey for free!
