Help Trevor Fight Danon's Disease!

 Greetings Family and Friends,

As many of you know, our son Trevor was diagnosed with Danon's disease in the Fall of 2010. He was placed on a heart transplant list soon after, and we pray every day for a miracle. This disease affects boys around age 19 and women in their late 30's. It usually manifests itself with "cardiac sudden death" (or the stopping of the heart), leading to heart failure, which then necessitates a heart transplant. Because there is no cure for Danon's disease at this time, we have been looking into research that would help Trevor and others with this frightening disease. We have found a program at the University of Michigan that is researching options to heart transplantation and how to improve the heart transplantation procedure.

Since finding out that Trevor was sick, many of you have asked how you can help. Before now we have asked for prayers...which we still do...keep them coming, and thank you! We are asking in addition to the prayers, if you would like to donate to research that could help Trevor and other cardiac patients, please feel free to do so by using this website. Donations are tax deductible, and 100% of this money will go directly to the University of Michigan Center for Circulatory Disease Research Center.

This site describes their mission:

This research will not only help patients with Danon's disease, but others waiting for heart transplantation or suffering from heart failure. Please don't feel obligated...we just wanted to let you know that since we have found a research project which may impact Trevor and many others with this disease, we have renewed hope. As always, we count your love and support as our greatest treasure.

Thank you for your support!
