August 1st = My Birthday = My One Day to Make a Wish

This year for my birthday, I want just one thing...your support.  Each year as my birthday approaches, my thoughts give way to those events that have had the most impact thus far;  those events in my 31 years that have shaped my character, my spirit, and my experiences. 

As most of you know founding Kate's Club six years ago is undoubtedly one of the most significant and most exciting events of my life to date.  But starting it was just the beginning of the impact that I have seen this organization make, not just in my life but moreso in the children we serve.

Kate's Club today is a magnificant organization that supports hundreds of children...hard to believe that it all started with just six kids and six volunteers at a bowling alley.  Even with the growth, I still get the chills when I meet a new child and they light up when I speak the words "I lost my mom too" - there is something about this bond between our kids that lifts up the spirit of every single child who walks through the doors of Kate's Club.  I just feel lucky that I get to be a part of their journey.

This year, on August 1st, as I go to blow out more candles than I ever have before, I have just one wish.  I wish for each of you to make a gift to Kate's Club to help us continue to serve more children facing life after the death of a parent or sibling.  The kids at Kate's Club need our support and I intend to celebrate my birthday by celebrating them and Kate's Club!  I hope you will join me.
