Fundraising Page for Mason's Militia
Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! As many of you know Mason is on the Autism Spectrum and we obviously take alot of pride in raising money for such a good cause. One that not only helps Mason out, but provides help and support for so many kiddos like him. When Mason got diagnosed 3 years ago and we started on this "journey" I had no clue what he or our family was in for. Like most moms, I went through the "grieving period" and felt sorry for what was ahead of us. It broke my heart and still does to see my son struggle in things that come so easily for others. I finally realized and accepted that I was an Autism Mommy for a reason, and now that I've come to terms with it I couldn't see life being any other way. Mason has always marched to the beat of his own drum and I admire him so much for that. I learn new things about him and myself everyday, things that I could never put into words on here, because the lessons he has taught me go so much deeper than that. Once I realized that I wasn't in control of Autism, I reached out to Lancaster County Autism Mommies and The Tommy Foundation for support. The proceeds of this walk benefit these 2 groups - both are local 501(c)(3) organizations working with children and individuals affected by autism. I can't even begin to tell you the heart the women behind these 2 groups have. They will fight to the death for children with Autism and they have never stopped believing in Mason or myself throughout our journey. I could never thank them enough for all they have done for us. They made me a stronger mommy and have become my very good friends - you could even call it a sisterhood. Please consider donating to our families team, I can assure you that no amount is to small and your donation would provide help to kids who very much need it.
Love always,
Mason's Mom
