My mother lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 55, after fighting for five years. During those years our family struggled emotionally and financially. We were fortunate enough to have many friends and family members who were there to support us. Jen’s Friends was kind enough to help my parents with some of their expenses.

We began to climb each year to help raise money for my mom and for other local families who were battling cancer. The climb became much more then just a fundraiser for our family. It was a time our family could come together to become empowered and play an active part in the fight against cancer, it became a time to laugh, cry, reminisce and make new memories.

Last year we raised over $6000, second place for a large team! We will continue the tradition again this year. We will continue to climb as Team Peg's Legs, to raise money for other families who are continuing to battle cancer, in loving memory of my Mom, Peg.
