There are many choices we make in our lives.  Some are hard and life-changing -- what do you want to be when you grow up, what do you want to do.  Some choices are easy -- when you choose to help others you receive much more than you give.

I am making an easy choice, to raise money for Cherish our Children International. This organization has so many wonderful programs that help children both locally and internationally.  The programs they run are not the short term disaster relief (make a big splash on the news, see how wonderful we are) but rather the harder long term commitment programs providing shelter for those who do not have it and teaching tolerance and respect for all.

I choose to dedicate my Lonestar Sprint Triathlon to the children who are helped by Cherish our Children International.  Please take a moment to donate to COCI.  COCI is a fully qualified 501c(3) non-profit organization, and your donation is fully tax deductible.
