Dear Family and Friends,
It’s time again for the annual Paws for Parkinson’s dog walk benefiting the OHSU Parkinson Center of Oregon. They have a goal of raising $50,000 to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s through research and care initiatives.
On one hand, I’m hesitant to ask for money from friends and family. However, the cause means so much to our family personally, as well as the over 1 million people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the US, that I believe fundraising for the disease is worthy enough task to merit me asking for donations.
A donation to the PCO is quite literally a donation to the best doctors and thought leaders in the field of movement disorders in general and Parkinson's disease in particular. When it comes to Parkinson's disease, there is no better organization involved in improving the lives of patients with the disease. And I forgot to mention, that it is also a donation to one of the coolest events of the summer along the waterfront, as long as you can handle hundreds of dogs running around participating in various beauty, eating and trick contests.
A donation in any amount would be so greatly appreciated, and your registration in the event would be wonderful!
