Run of Hope Seattle 2011
Welcome to Team Hannah's Hopeful Hearts! The Run of Hope Seattle will bring support and hope to families like Hannah's who have been and are being effected by pediatric brain tumors as well as raise funds for research efforts through Children's Hospital and the Olsen Lab.
A message from Reba, Hannah's mom:
Almost a year ago, I lost my precious 12-year old daughter, Hannah, to a brain tumor. She fought the tumor for nearly 3 years, enduring surgery, radiation and chemotherapies which left her far from the feisty, independent girl she once was. In Hannah’s memory, we hope that you will join us this year for the Seattle Run of Hope on Sept. 25th in Seward Park to continue to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research. As my friend Kim, who also lost her daughter Dani to a brain tumor last summer, says: “We hope that there will be a day when no other family will have to lose a child to a brain tumor. That hope is what drives us to support the Olson Lab in their quest for better, more effective treatment options for children diagnosed with all types of brain tumors.”
