Jake's Journey 2008 PBTF Ride for Kids
Greetings to all our supporters, friends and family. It is once again, time for another PBTF Ride for Kids event which will be taking place on July 20th. Our family is excited about the opportunity to again raise funds for this great and very beneficial organization. We lost another dear friend this year and it makes us all realize that children are dying every day from this dreaded disease and we must step forward and make a difference.
Our family is convinced that the only reason that we have been one of the "lucky" families and still have Jacob with us, is due to the fact of the research solely funded by the PBTF. Not long ago, Jacob's kind of tumor had a much lower survivability rate, but due to the efforts of the PBTF, this is no longer the case. We have been blessed by their efforts but more can be done to alleviate and minimize the effects of the treatment.
Our family asks you to please, please, open your hearts and your checkbooks to support this worthy organization and to make a difference in the lives of children who do not deserve to suffer and lose their lives.
