It's been over 5 years since I was first diagnosed with a brain tumor. I endured 2 surgeries, 30 radiation treatments and a 54 week regimen of chemotherapy. Happily, I have been in remission since July 2006. Since that time, I've been very fortunate to only have minor complications from the cancer treatments. Now that I have been on growth hormone treatment, I have grown over 7 inches in height!!! I am going into the 7th grade and am involved in many activities. Most recently, I finished a week of camp in Lake Geneva, WI with other pediatric cancer survivors. This reminds all of us how vitally important funding is for finding a cure for cancer and helping the survivors deal with side effects from these treatments.
