As you are aware, I have been fighting cancer for the past six years. I have been cancer free for almost a year now, and pray daily that this success continues. Thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses at the NSMC Cancer Center in Peabody, I am still around to ask you to support me in my annual fundraising efforts.

In three years, Team Kathie Mitchell has raised $66,000 for the benefit of the Cancer Center.  Last year, 89 members of our team traveled from all over New England and showed up to walk in the rain.....I am fortunate to be surrounded by the most wonderful family, friends and co-workers.  For this year's NSMC Cancer Walk, Team Kathie Mitchell has set a team goal of $25,000. My personal goal this year is to raise $3,000 toward our team goal. All monies raised directly benefit the NSMC Cancer Center.

I am helpless to do anything to show my gratitude to the people at the Cancer Center who have stood by my side through this challenging journey. I have a remarkable oncologist in Dr. Weinger, and he and his nursing staff have been supportive and compassionate the entire time. The only way I have to thank them for all they have done for me is to continue to work tirelessly to raise funds for the Cancer Center in the hopes that they will come a bit closer to a cure for this dreadful disease.
