Our family has been working towards adopting Taylor for over a year now and we will soon be able to celebrate in his adoption. But getting here took a lot of support. We had road blocks and awful situations in the Florida foster care system, but we also have had Florida heros like Connie and Scott and Krista who made sure that things worked out even against their own system's mistakes. And we have heros here in Washington such as our licensor Lauren, our adoptions worker Heather, and Rick the executive director of the agency we are working with. These people go out of their way to see us and to support our entire family as we go through the process. Taylor thinks of them as extended family now.

 

In order to keep the system strong, foster families and foster care workers need training and support. Please consider helping us raise funds for the programs that help kids like Taylor.
