As some of you may know, my stepfather is progressing rapidly through the stages of Alzheimer's. It is an extremely sad situation to watch a loved one fade away daily in front of your eyes.

My family is very fortunate to have the Northeastern New York, Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center, located at Plattsburgh State University. The center offers a variety of assistance programs and services to families of those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia.

On September 25th our family will be participating in the annual Alzheimer's Walk to Remember. Any charitable gift is greatly appreciated. The funds we raise stay within the Plattsburgh community and directly benefit the center's programs and services.
