As many of you know our precious little Ashley Paige was diagnosed with autism in October 2007.  This caused a major change to the lives of everyone in our family.  It has brought us lots of heartbreak but also lots of joy.  It was so hard to hear that Ashley might not know us and we might not know her...but we have been blessed in that we can give her some therapy.  Through that therapy we have watched our little sweetheart start to blossom.  We can see her funny little personality and we know that she is in there just waiting to completely pop out.  Those who really know Ashley know that she is full of personality and we just need to help her to let the world see it.  She is funny and sweet and a little bit defiant sometimes...she is just fabulous!!!

This walk is amazing because funds raised are used to provide grants to local families to help pay for therapeutic services.  Therapies are often not covered by insurance and cost thousands of dollars per month, literally.  Last year enough funds were raised by this walk to provide 37 families with grants that totalled $74,000.  It was amazing!!!

I can't say enough about the devastation of autism or the great service that this walk provides to our community.  The numbers now show that 1 in 100 children are diagnosed...it breaks my heart.  Please help support all of the families who have children on the spectrum by donating to the walk.
