Suncoast Basset Rescue is a not-for-profit, volunteer effort that rescues Basset Hounds from abusive, abandoned and unwanted situations just for the love of the breed. Our organization gives bassets a second chance to live, as they were intended as someone’s best animal friend. Our rescue efforts began in 1997 with two volunteers and help from the Suncoast Basset Hound Club of Tampa, Inc. We have rescued over 1300 bassets since then. Today, Suncoast Basset Rescue Inc is a 501c(3), not-for-profit organization , which exists solely on donations.
