One again, I am taking part in this year’s Tour de Vail fundraising event for adults with mental illness.
Vail Place provides recovery-oriented support services to help people manage their mental illness, live self-sufficiently in the community, and stay out of the hospital.

$4.60 a day or $1,900 a day, and 80 percent. . .

• It costs Vail Place $4.60 a day per person to provide its services.
• It costs an average of over $1,900 for one day of psychiatric hospitalization here in Minnesota.
• The hospitalization rate of people who come to Vail Place is reduced by over 80 percent!
• A gift of $32 will support a member at Vail Place for a week.
• It would take almost 60 gifts of $32 to pay for that one day of a hospital stay.
