LOSING IS NOT AN OPTION!!

 

Hello my name is Katie Maddox, I participated in the Team Hope Walk-Northern Indiana on June 11, 2011 for the Huntingtons Disease Society of America. And I raised about $1200. I also participated in The 5K Run for HD in Chicago on September 11, 2011. Please help me support this amazing cause, every dollar helps!  This year I have set my goal at $1600, I know this is possible because I have so much love and support from all of you who love and care about my family and others who suffer with this this disease.

This cause is is very near to my heart because my Mom, Nancy Rensberger currently suffers from HD. I am also doing this in memory of my grandfather Richard Wetzel who passed away 9 years ago. This horrible disease has been affecting my family for many years. Not only did my grandfather have this but his father, some of his siblings and cousins as well. I hope this walk will raise money for research and more public awareness about HD. HD does not just affect the person with the disease, but their family and close friends as well. I have seen what HD can do to the people I love, and I hope we will see the end of this disease in the very near future.
