As many of you know, in 2007, I plunged into a new career with Special Olympics Virginia where I'm privileged to work with great athlete ambassadors like my friend Paul (see photo on right).

In 2008, I joined 3,500 other crazy Special Olympics fans and plunged into the icy Atlantic Ocean on Polar Plunge weekend.

In 2009 and 2010, I was busy plunging into motherhood, but I still cheered on our many fans who braved the ice and snow to take the plunge for a great cause!

In 2011, I'd like you to help me plunge back into shape as I participate in the first ever Polar Plunge 5k to benefit Special Olympics Virginia!!

It is also the most efficient way to help me reach my goal of raising $600.  All funds will help Special Olympics Virginia reach its goal of raising $1 million dollars at this year's Polar Plunge Winter Festival weekend.  Events like this help us to provide FREE Special Olympics programs for more than 10,000 athletes across the state.
